Freedom Insurance has signed up to Ebix’s OneOffice policy administration platform.

The Sydney-based direct insurer offers life and trauma cover underwritten by NobleOak Life.  

CEO Keith Cohen says he has been impressed at the speed with which OneOffice could be customised and integrated into his company’s operations.

“While we are a greenfield site, Freedom will be processing high volumes of direct life insurance business on OneOffice within the first month of operation,” he said.

“This was a key factor in selecting OneOffice for this new growth phase of our business.”

Mr Cohen says Ebix’s close proximity in Sydney and its “track record of successful delivery with flexible commercial terms made it an easy decision”.

Ebix OneOffice VP Philip Fourie says Australian life insurers want a platform that recognises the difference in systems’ product and processing requirements and “that also supports both the range of direct channels and also the retail or advice channel”.

“Ebix has customers that use it for outbound call centre operations as well as web-based direct sales channels,” he said.
