The first two Mortgage Choice financial planning practices have opened in Brisbane and Sydney.

Brisbane-based Kayla White and Sydney’s Fairien Azeem are already writing life insurance and receiving referrals from Mortgage Choice’s comparison website HelpMeChoose.com.au.

Ms White was looking after life insurance referrals for a different company franchise when she was approached to become an equity partner.

Having worked in financial for 10 years, she was ready for her own business. “It's fantastic to be working in a franchise system alongside mortgage brokers – helping ensure our customers protect themselves as they increase their debt levels.”

After 14 years as co-owner of a company franchise, Ms Azeem says she wanted to look after her customers’ full financial future.

Her financial advice practice now works in alliance with her original business partner, her husband, who continues to run their mortgage broking franchise.

“My customers trust the brand, so moving my financial planning business under the one brand made perfect sense,” she said.

Mortgage Choice Financial Planning GM Tania Milnes says the business is on track to open 10 financial planning franchises for testing purposes, followed by a full roll-out next July.
