Dealer group dumps insurers
WHK Group has dropped CommInsure and MLC from its approved list of life insurers.
The dealer group has signed three-year distribution agreements with TAL, Zurich, Macquarie Life, BT Life and Asteron.
WHK Head of Financial Services John Cowan says the successful insurers had the product range that matched the dealer group’s business client base.
“The needs of key occupational groups for WHK had to be addressed including rural and mining, medical professionals, qualified tradespeople and self-managed super fund clients requiring insurance,” he said.
“We also wanted key partners that could provide WHK’s distribution network with adviser education support, high levels of service and dedicated sales campaign involvement.”
Life Risk Partners managed WHK’s life insurance tender, and MD Stephen Dingjan says the company’s role was to ensure all the adviser-requested outcomes were met.
“I believe we brought transparency, independence and discipline to the approved list review process,” he said.
