Deadline looms for FPA awards
Entries for the Financial Planning Association’s Best Practice Awards close on Wednesday.
There are three categories: Certified Financial Planner, Financial Planner AFP and Future2 community service.
National winners, chosen from state winners and runners-up, will be announced at the FPA conference in Sydney on October 16 and 17.
Association CEO Mark Rantall says the awards recognise ethics, practice, professional conduct and “the positive impact planners make on their clients’ lives”.
“It is through the good work of these planners and the success stories they share with us that the profession can advance,” he said.
Nominations remain open for this year’s FPA Honorary Awards for Distinguished Service and Fellows.
Meanwhile, the 13th annual Financial Planning Week begins next Monday. FPA volunteers will answer consumers’ questions about matters including life insurance, and the association will run its Ask an Expert online forum.
