Frank Crapis, formerly head of client solutions at Munich Re, has returned to CommInsure after a two-year stint with the German reinsurer.

He has become Head of Life Product and Strategy, replacing Sally Phillips, who has left the company.

Mr Crapis was previously responsible for group life sales at CommInsure. Until recently he was a director with the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, where he chaired the faculty advisory board for life, health and retirement income.

CommInsure GM Life Product and Distribution Craig Harrison says the insurer is pleased to welcome a former employee with significant industry experience.

“Mr Crapis will play a key role in the delivery of our planned upgrades to the retail product offering and supporting our direct and group insurance customers and clients,” he said.
