Costello to speak at financial services summit
Former federal treasurer Peter Costello will speak at the inaugural Trans-Tasman Strategic Leaders conference in Auckland next year, the Financial Services Councils (FSCs) of Australia and New Zealand announced today.
Mr Costello is expected to talk about developments in the global economy and what it means for Australia and New Zealand investors.
He is currently Chairman of the Future Fund – Australia’s $250 billion sovereign wealth fund – and is set to step down in February after informing the Government he does not intend to seek a third term.
The summit from March 4-6 will gather regulators, politicians, economists and senior industry leaders to discuss opportunities and challenges facing leaders of financial services organisations in 2024.
The event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops, networking opportunities and a gala dinner.
Topics will include the future of financial advice regulation, the impacts of climate change on investing, sustainable retirement solutions, insurance and economic challenges.
