CoreData has named TAL Ltd as Risk Provider of the Year, followed by Zurich and then CommInsure.

TAL also won the award last year and a survey of 647 advisers rated it most preferred provider for online applications and the most preferred provider of smart forms.

The study found advisers are earning more of their income from insurance advice – 55.9% compared with 40.4% in 2010.

Some 55.7% of life insurance business comes from new clients and online applications are increasing.
