NobleOak, RAC and TAL have won this year’s Outstanding Value Direct Life Insurance Awards given out by Canstar.

The comparator says all three brands stood out on price compared to other eligible brands, with the cheapest policy in every profile this year being offered by either NobleOak or TAL.

The winners’ policies also tended to perform strongly on features compared to others on the market.

Canstar says it reviewed 14 products before deciding on the winners and for NobleOak, this is its seventh straight win securing the award.

According to the comparator, NobleOak’s policies were found to be at or near the most affordable end of the market across the board, particularly for policyholders in younger age groups.

RAC, which has NobleOak as the issuer of its life insurance policy, offers a competitively priced product and provides consumers a strong feature proposition.

TAL’s new product, Accelerated Protection, helped it win the award this year, Canstar says. The product performed strongly on price competitiveness in the middle aged and older profiles.

The TAL product was also a market leader on features, with instant applicant approval and a repatriation benefit of up to $35,000 helping it stand out.
