CommInsure takes top life award
CommInsure has been named life company of the year by the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and Plan For Life.
BT Financial Group and TAL were runners-up for the award.
CommInsure also won the investment bond award and was a finalist in the trauma, overall annuity provider and long-term income stream categories.
AFA CEO Brad Fox says CommInsure’s life company award is “recognition for a business that has gone through considerable change during recent years. CommInsure continues to demonstrate its commitment to financial advisers, adviser practices and their clients.”
Macquarie Life won all the client service team awards: underwriting team of the year, claims team and business support services team.
Zurich won the service quality award, while AMP took the term/total and permanent disability category and the trauma award. TAL won the income protection prize.
AIA won the risk product innovation category for its Vitality program.
Mr Fox says the AIA scheme reflects the AFA’s theme for this year – Innovate: Think, Create, Act.
“We are very excited to see how the AIA Vitality initiative has challenged the fundamental way insurance connects with consumers,” he said. “It’s a new conversation.”
Challenger won all three annuity and income stream awards: annuity provider of the year, long-term income stream and annuity and income stream innovation.
