CommInsure restructures life business
CommInsure has restructured its life insurance business unit and appointed four new GMs to head up each of its business lines.
Former GM Financial Wisdom Tim Browne has been appointed GM Retail Advice, and will take charge of CommInsure’s retail risk product range, its advice distribution team and the technical, sales, strategy, relationship services and training to adviser and dealer groups across Australia.
GM Investments Greg Ballard will become GM Superannuation and Investments, and CommInsure GM Business Services Gareth Newton will take on the role of GM Direct Life.
The GM for Wholesale Life will be announced shortly. The transition to the new structure will begin immediately, with the reorganisation effective from the beginning of July.
CommInsure says the restructure marks the adoption of a line of business approach for each of the company’s dedicated businesses and will bring together the various product, distribution and support teams for each line to better serve customers and advisers.
“CommInsure is a large and diverse insurer operating across many markets,” MD Paul Rayson said. “I’m pleased to be able to appoint these leadership roles from within the Commonwealth Bank Group which is truly a testament to the depth of talent in our organisation.”
