ClearView Chairman Gary Weiss has resigned from the board with immediate effect.

He has been replaced by Bruce Edwards, who has been on the ClearView board since 2012.

Mr Edwards is also a director of Munich Re Australia and is a former director of Suncorp and Lumley Life. He is an actuary with more than 26 years’ experience, including five years as MD of KPMG Actuaries.

Jennifer Newmarch has also resigned as a ClearView director, and fellow director Michael Lukin has now been appointed as an alternative director for Michael Alscher.

ClearView MD Simon Swanson says Dr Weiss played a significant role in developing the company.

“He has helped drive ClearView’s growth and strategic development to the benefit of our customers, partners and shareholders,” Mr Swanson said.

“I have enjoyed working with Dr Weiss and appreciate his sage counsel.”
