Westpac-owned BT has announced the permanent appointment of Jason Brown as its Head of Distribution.  

BT says Mr Brown, who had been acting in the role since December last year, will lead the company’s platforms’ distribution team, with a focus on supporting advice professionals and the firm’s online services.  

The company says the appointment will support continued investment into its advice service, BT Panorama, which is reported to hold the largest number of adviser relationships with around 6000 advisers actively registered, representing about 40% of market share according to industry researcher Investment Trends.   

Mr Brown has more than three decades of financial services industry experience, having served 14 years at BT, including the previous five as Head of Account Management.
