BT consultant wins ALUCA scholarship
BT Financial Group Claims Consultant Lara Neate has won this year’s Australasian Life Underwriting and Claims Association (ALUCA) TurksLegal Scholarship.
She entered a “thoughtful and well-researched” essay on ways the life insurance industry can stay relevant in an ageing population and with near-zero growth in the traditional workforce.
“The exciting range of solutions she canvassed addressed such issues as consumer education and the impact of medical research and technology,” ALUCA and TurksLegal say.
“She also showed how the industry could offer innovative and flexible products that would provide incentives that would help retirees improve their quality of life and reduce the economic burden on society.”
The prize is worth $8000 and includes an overseas conference trip, accommodation, registration fees and $1000 cash.
The first runner-up was Natalie Agnoletto from TAL and the second runner-up was CommInsure’s Rachel Tritton.
