Brogden swaps FSC for institute of directors
Financial Services Council (FSC) CEO John Brogden will leave the organisation at the end of the year.
He has been appointed CEO of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), replacing John Colvin.
Mr Brogden, a former NSW Liberal Party opposition leader, has been with the FSC for five years, having previously served as CEO of health insurer Manchester Unity before it merged with HCF in 2008.
FSC Chairman Greg Cooper has praised Mr Brogden’s role with the organisation.
“He has significantly boosted the reputation and profile of the FSC and the industry [and] expanded its policy agenda to influence broader economic policy,” he said.
AICD Chairman Michael Smith says Mr Brogden brings “a wealth of experience” in the commercial and non-profit sectors.
“He will be joining us to lead the institute into the next phase of its growth,” he said.
