Beazley Underwriting continues to grow its Australian group life business, with the appointment of former TAL business development manager Duncan Richardson as Life, Accident and Health Development Manager.

Mr Richardson has also held positions at Richard Oliver Underwriting, QBE and Catholic Church Insurance.

Beazley MD Noel Nosworthy says the new recruit will help the company grow in the group life market.

“We believe Mr Richardson will make a significant contribution to our business through his wealth of technical expertise and experience in group life markets in Australia,” he said.

“We have already seen healthy levels of demand for our life, accident and health products, particularly from mid to top-tier super funds that recognise the benefits of partnering with specialist, niche insurers.”

Beazley now has 40 staff at its Brisbane headquarters.
