Be proud, says disputes chief
Insurance Enquiries & Complaints Chairman Peter Daly says the insurance industry must do more to spruik its achievements so consumers have greater confidence in the insurance industry.
Speaking at an ICA conference in Sydney today, Mr Daly said only one Australian insurer – AAMI – uses its claims performance as a marketing tool. He suggested that “it’s time for the industry to explore the option of advertising again” – the last national campaign was halted in 1997 – and said individual companies could do a great deal more to help boost consumer awareness of the existence of IEC and the industry’s Code of Practice.
