Banyan recruit to lead Australasian push

Banyan Work Health Solutions has appointed Ben Vanden Boom to lead the group’s expansion in the Australian and New Zealand life insurance markets.

Mr Vanden Boom was previously head of claims operations at AMP, and has also held a number of senior roles at Axa.

Banyan is a privately owned company established in Canada in 1995. It entered the Australian market in 2013, providing disability management services.

CEO Maria Vandenhurk says Mr Vanden Boom has “a wealth of experience from his work in the financial services and insurance sector”.
