Australian Unity wealth arm lifts revenue

Australian Unity’s wealth division, which includes life insurance and superannuation, increased revenue by 16.4% to $143.3 million in the year to June 30.

“This result reflects a very pleasing performance in a competitive and challenging environment across all businesses in the platform,” the company says.

Life insurance and super had about $2.14 billion in funds under management at June 30, up 7.6% on the previous year.

General insurance broking revenue, which is grouped under personal financial services, increased to $640,000 from $567,000.

Personal financial services recorded revenue of $65.8 million, up 0.4%.

The health, wealth and living group’s overall net profit grew 31.7% to $46.8 million.
