Australian advisers boost numbers at global roundtable

A record number of Australian life insurance advisers attended the recent Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) annual meeting in Philadelphia, US.

MDRT Australia Chairman Ross Hultgren says 116 local members took part, with 30 receiving CommInsure scholarships. “This paid the registration fee and half the cost of membership for the next two years.”

Australian advisers were among the keynote speakers and focus group presenters, including MDRT life members Russell Collins, Tony Bongiorno and Angus McQueen.

“The Australian financial services sector is acknowledged globally for being at the forefront of many legislative, practice improvement, client service delivery and product development innovations that will ultimately be adopted internationally,” Mr Hultgren said.

MDRT was founded in the US as an organisation to improve the technical and sales skills of life insurance representatives.
