Federal Government financial services marketing agency Axiss is being incorporated into trade and investment development body Austrade with effect from tomorrow.

A new specialised financial services industry team within Austrade will assume an additional mandate to promote the export of financial services, as well as continuing to support inward investment and expansion.

Axiss was originally formed in the late 1990s by then Minister for Financial Services and Regulation Joe Hockey to promote Australia as a financial hub.
