Asteron has introduced a flexible mortgage insurance policy for the New Zealand market.

The Mortgage and Living Cover product allows customers to “dial cover up and down in response to changing financial circumstances, without the need to be medically underwritten again”.

The policy comprises different blocks of cover so customers can design more flexible solutions.

It includes benefits that offer a fixed amount of cover if a customer needs time off work to look after a dependant, or if they themselves need time off and a family member to look after them.

The policy can be matched to mortgage repayments – like a traditional mortgage protection cover – or income, or a combination of both.
