Asteron Life shakes up benefits, policy wordings
New Zealand insurer Asteron Life has made changes to its personal and business insurance offerings and revamped policy wordings as part of its plain language commitment.
“It’s key that our range of covers continue to add value for our customers, policies and terms are easy to understand, and insurance remains as affordable and accessible as possible,” EM Life Portfolio and New Business Claire Sutton said.
“We know these things really matter for our customers and advisers. We also worked hard to ensure these improvements have not increased customer premiums, given we know how tough it is for many New Zealanders right now.”
The product changes include new built-in features such as repatriation benefits on personal and business life cover and terminal specific condition advancement benefits on personal life.
Asteron Life says a new definition for congenital conditions under children’s cover has been added “to provide customers comfort around knowing when this exclusion might apply”.
