Asteron Life has appointed Kirsten Young as National Manager Adviser Distribution, following a review of the Suncorp-owned New Zealand life insurer’s management structure. 

Ms Young was previously Central and Southern Regional Manager, a role she has held since joining the business in October 2018, according to her LinkedIn. 

“Kirsten has a strong leadership background…she is extremely passionate about the industry, which is a great asset to have in this role,” Executive Manager, Life Distribution for Asteron Life, Graham Hill said. 

Mr Hill says the change after the management structure review will facilitate a greater focus on leading the business development team and to work closer with key advisory businesses across New Zealand. 

Ms Young says developing the talent within her team and supporting adviser business growth are high on the priority list.
