Asteron and Aviva share Platinum honour
Life insurers Aviva and Asteron have been announced as the joint overall winners of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Platinum Life Company of the Year Award for 2008.
The two insurers were recognised for their consistency in making the finals of most individual categories.
Among individual categories, Challenger won the award for annuity provider, while CommInsure took out the trauma insurance award.
Tower Australia won the life cover and total and permanent disablement award, while AIG Life took out the income protection award.
The service quality award went to Zurich Australia, while Tower Australia won the premium rates award. Asteron took honours for the best product feature.
