Dishonest conduct has resulted in two former Macquarie financial advisers being banned from providing financial services for 10 years.

Mark Landau and Marcus Roderick tampered with client emails to mislead Macquarie’s compliance team and created false transaction records to reflect the emails, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission says.

They also arranged for the false emails to be saved into Macquarie’s management system, the regulator’s Financial Services and Credit Panel found.

The pair worked 10 years for Macquarie until June last year.
