Aon is to sell its financial planning business, adding to the raft of large companies abandoning the sector to independents.

Aon decided in 2017 to exit the advice business and focus on its superannuation and investment offering. It has aligned with Equity Trustees and is merged with the Executive Superannuation Fund and Aon Master Trust.
