Another staff reshuffle for FPA
It’s difficult to keep up with Financial Planning Association (FPA) staffing arrangements, but we try. This time there are four new appointments to its professional practice and policy and government relations units.
The news comes less than a year after the association conducted a couple of extensive organisation overhauls, including the firing of more than half its staff late last year. In the past two months it has made at least three more staff changes.
Former Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Assistant Director (consumer protection) Paul Shevtzoff has been named Manager Professional Standards, and former FPA manager Andrew McClure has the new role of Manager Professional Standards.
Other appointments include MLC’s Susan Linnney, who moves to the professional practice division and LawSolution’s Gil Orskito to the policy and government relations division.
CEO Kerrie Kelly says the appointments, together with others announced last month, “will significantly increase the FPA’s ability to move forward with a range of professional practice and policy issues which are critically important to our membership and to the reputation and well-being of the financial planning sector”.
