Another reshuffle for FPA
The Financial Planning Association’s (FPA’s) internal turmoil doesn’t appear to be over yet. The peak body supporting financial planners has been plagued with management reshuffles over the past two-and-a-half years.
Now high-profile Chairman Kathryn Greiner has announced she’ll be stepping down from the position after less than a year in the role. She will also resign as a director at the association’s AGM in November.
The FPA board has named directors Corinna Dieters as Chairman-elect and Sarah Brennan as Deputy Chairman-elect, pointing out the two women’s “industry expertise and commitment to professionalism”.
Ms Greiner says she has been involved in “a time of momentous change and great significance”, but says the organisation has more challenges ahead.
“We have reaffirmed the FPA’s position as the peak professional association and made progress in areas that are important to me personally – most notably a new initiative to raise awareness among Australians of the value of financial planning,” she said.
Ms Dieters has more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, and has made “significant contributions” to the FPA’s policy committees.
