AMP rationalises super
AMP has struck a deal with global consultancy firm William M Mercer to handle its 95 stand-alone corporate superannuation clients. The move is a part of AMP’s strategy to sell off or re-direct its non-core businesses.
Affected clients have the option of using Mercer for administration and consultancy needs, or transfer their stand-alone superannuation to a master trust.
The new arrangements affects about 110 AMP staff in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Any who don’t get a job with Mercer may be redeployed within AMP, according to a spokeswoman.
