AMP Life changes leadership

The head of AMP’s life insurance business Pauline Blight-Johnston has been replaced and will leave the company in a management shake-up.

Megan Beer, who previously ran AMP’s retail and group life business, has taken her place.

Ms Blight-Johnston was also responsible for superannuation, but Ms Beer will not be.

Ms Beer joined AMP in 2014 from NAB, where she was GM bancassurance and direct.

She has held senior management positions in life insurance at MLC and Tower, where she was chief actuary, chief risk officer and head of claims.

Also departing in the management shake-up is Group Executive Advice Rob Caprioli, replaced by Jack Regan, who will also retain his current role of MD New Zealand.

Mr Regan joined AMP in 2002 and was appointed MD New Zealand in 2007.

He has spent more than 30 years working in financial services, including at St George Bank, IOOF and GIO.
