ALUCA TurksLegal Scholarship opens

The Australasian Life Underwriting and Claims Association (ALUCA) and law firm TurksLegal have opened applications for their annual life insurance professionals’ scholarship.

The program is open to ALUCA’s membership, which includes employees of life insurance and reinsurance companies, super trustees and super administrators.

The winner will receive a package worth $8000, including attendance at one of three international life insurance conferences in the US, return travel and accommodation and $1000 cash.

Entrants must write up to 2500 words on an issue of relevance to the life industry.

TurksLegal Financial Services Partner John Myatt says the scholarship is an opportunity to demonstrate “incisive and thoughtful analysis” on important issues.

Applications close on September 21. Winners will be announced at the ALUCA Conference in Maroochydore, Queensland, on October 21.
