AIG makes its mark
American International Assurance Company (Australia) Limited (AIA) has changed its name to reflect the powerful image of its US parent. From here on in you can call it AIG Life.
MD David Whyte wants to “utilise the international strength of the AIG global branding to significantly enhance our recognition in the Australian market”.
The launch of the new branding to financial advisers has already been conducted around Australia, with Mr Whyte saying it now enjoys “keen enthusiasm and acceptance”.
“AIA Australia will continue to use the AIA brand for specific products in our traditional Asian niche market within Australia. However, all new products designed for the broader Australian market will carry the AIG Life branding.”
