Life and health insurer AIA will sponsor the Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar clubs during the completion of the current A-League season.

The insurer’s logo will be featured across the Sydney players’ shorts for remaining fixtures, with a view to extending the partnership into future seasons, while for the Roar it will be displayed on the sleeve.

“The partnership between AIA, Sydney FC and Brisbane Roar will play an important role in drawing awareness to the impact that small lifestyle changes can have on long-term health,” AIA Australia and New Zealand CEO Damien Mu said.

Mr Mu says research undertaken by the company highlighted NSW could make improvements in preventative health, while Queensland is tracking well for low chronic disease risk but could improve in the areas of physical activity, mental wellbeing and prevention.

The partnership is effective immediately.

Globally, AIA is the official shirt partner of English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.
