AIA announces digital partnership with NZ platform
AIA New Zealand has launched a digital direct partnership with insurance platform Quashed to distribute its AIA Starter Plans products.
Quashed launched last year, offering New Zealanders a central point to organise their insurance needs on one dashboard or to chat to an insurance expert.
Under the partnership, consumers can acquire the AIA products in a “matter of minutes” and manage their cover alongside other insurances in a single-view dashboard.
“We partnered with Quashed as we believe we have a shared commitment to making insurance more accessible for all New Zealanders,” AIA New Zealand CEO Nick Stanhope said.
“These [Starter Plans] all come with our flagship AIA Vitality Starter program, offering rewards and incentives for healthy lifestyle choices every day.”
Quashed is aiming to have 100,000 customers by next year, having raised $NZ1.1 million ($1 million) from investors in a second funding round.
“Making life products from a highly trusted brand like AIA more accessible on our digital platform makes it easier for Kiwis to research and buy cover for themselves and their families,” Quashed CEO Justin Lim said.
