AFA to hit the road again
Next year’s Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) GenXt Roadshow will feature innovation as its theme.
CEO Brad Fox says the national tour – now in its seventh year – presents a curriculum that helps financial advisers and their key support staff develop greater advisory skills and knowledge.
“The events are always very welcoming and help developing advisers build long-lasting professional connections.
“They are based firmly on the AFA’s philosophy of ensuring a strong future for advice.”
This year’s roadshow attracted more than 1400 advisers nationally. Next year’s tour starts in Hobart on February 4, before visiting Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in the same month.
“We have built an important curriculum including insurance and investment sessions, as well as an extensive workshop on emotional intelligence,” Mr Fox said.
“This is the key to developing interpersonal skills, which are the most valued part of the adviser-client relationship.”
Key presenters will include this year’s AFA rising star award-winner Ravi Agarwal and excellence in education winner Anne Graham.
