AFA seeks education champions

The Association of Financial Advisers has opened nominations for its seventh Excellence in Education Award.

The winner will be announced at the group’s national conference in Cairns in October.

The award, sponsored by Asteron Life, recognises advisers who invest in themselves, their staff and their business to raise professional standards through education.

They must also make a positive impact on Australians’ perceptions of financial advisers.

Head of Asteron Life Jordan Hawke says the award aims to promote greater professionalism through continual education and putting studies into practice.

“The award identifies talented advisers who invest in their development and contribute significantly to their community through quality advice.

“Advisers do an incredible job helping Australians make better decisions for their financial future and this award is a great way to celebrate the profession.”

Nominations for the award close on May 30, with the first round of interviews in June. State winners will be announced at association roadshows the following month.
