Professionals from NSW, Queensland and Victoria have been named as finalists for this year’s Association of Financial Advisers’ (AFA) female excellence in advice award.

The finalists are:

• Adrienne Rush of Bendigo Financial Planning in Melbourne
• Eleanor Dartnall from Dartnall Advisers in Sydney
• Justine Back of Back to Back Financial Planners in Young, NSW
• Dominique Bergel-Grant from Leapfrog Financial in Sydney
• Catherine Robson from Affinity Private in Melbourne
• Dianne Charman of Jade Financial Group in Ipswich, Queensland

The annual award which is sponsored by TAL recognises female advisers who make a significant contribution to their professions, their communities and particularly to female clients.

AFA CEO Brad Fox says the number of award applicants grew this year.

“Boosting the number of female advisers in the profession is essential,” he said. “It is a well-established fact that Australian women face significant challenges when trying to grow and protect their wealth and many feel more comfortable seeking advice from another woman.”

The winner will be announced at the AFA National Conference on the Gold Coast from October 13-15.
