AFA opens entries for education award

Entries for this year’s Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) excellence in education award are now open.

The award recognises advisers who continually seek education for themselves and their staff to improve service and business performance.

GM Member Services and Campus Nick Hakes says education is a driver of good advice.

“There are so many good stories of advisers doing extraordinary things by practically applying their technical knowledge and skills,” he said. “The award promotes those who are the very essence of professionalism.

The award is again sponsored by Asteron Life. The winner will be announced at the AFA adviser conference in Cairns in October.

Asteron Life EM Mark Vilo says education plays a major role in producing a positive consumer perception of the advice profession.

“It’s vital to recognise and reward the talented advisers who invest in their professional development and the job they do to help Australians make better decisions for their financial future,” he said.

Nominations for the award close on May 29. To nominate, visit here.
