AFA opens education award nominations

The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has opened nominations for its ninth excellence in education award.

GM Member Services, Partnerships and Campus AFA Nick Hakes says the award recognises the link between investment in education and professional credibility.

“During the past 18 months financial advisers have created a momentum shift towards embracing higher education standards,” he said. “This award shows advisers who are investing in further education for themselves and their staff, and then thinking about how they connect education to their clients’ financial wellness and their own business performance.”

Asteron Life again sponsors the award. EM Mark Vilo says the insurer is proud to continue supporting professionalism in financial advice.

“The importance of this award cannot be understated in the current environment,” he said.

“Every year we see nominees who are continually investing in themselves, their staff and their business to raise professional standards through higher education.”

National finalists will be announced in July at the AFA practitioner roadshows, with the overall winner named at the National Adviser Conference in Canberra in October.

Nominations close on June 10. Nominate here.
