AFA hosts roadshows for female advisers

The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) is to run a series of roadshows to promote the fifth female excellence in advice award.

The award, run jointly by the AFA and TAL, recognises women making a significant contribution to the profession, their communities and clients.

The events also mark the second anniversary of AFA Inspire, a program designed to help women seek support and leadership roles in the financial services industry.

AFA Inspire Chairman Christine Swanson says the roadshows will feature guest presenters who will encourage women to seize personal and career opportunities.

“We have managed to secure Australian broadcaster Libbi Gorr, journalist Melissa Doyle and former TV journalist Gemma Tognini, as well as two inspirational psychologists, Alison Hill and Gemma Munro,” Ms Swanson said.

The events will be held in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney from tomorrow. For more information and to register, visit here.
