AFA expands membership team as numbers grow
The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has expanded its membership support team in response to growing numbers.
It has recruited former Netwealth head of operations Roz Kaye to the new role of Member Services Manager.
“During the past year, the AFA has grown by more than 40% and there was a need to expand our team to support this growth,” GM Member Services, Partnerships and Campus AFA Nick Hakes said.
“When she starts in the role in November, she will be responsible for continuing to deliver high-value member services and support the AFA’s incredible membership growth.”
Mr Hakes says membership growth is partly due to initiatives including GenXt and Inspire, which are encouraging younger advisers and women to join the association.
At a parliamentary hearing last year the AFA said it had 2300 members. This compared with the Financial Planning Association’s 10,500 members, revealed at the same hearing.
