Queensland adviser Ben Budge has been named the Association of Financial Advisers’ (AFA) rising star of the year.

Mr Budge, from My Wealth Solutions, was named the winner at the AFA conference in Cairns yesterday.

The award, sponsored by ANZ Wealth, recognises new advisers who provide a quality service, show a commitment to education and make a valuable contribution to their profession and community.

AFA CEO Brad Fox says Mr Budge faced a rigorous judging process, along with several other finalists and nominees.

“He has a strong commitment to personal development and to his clients, and is constantly working to improve perceptions of financial advice throughout the community,” he said.
