The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has dropped hints at its annual conference about a merger with other industry associations.

Although AFA President Robin Yates would not confirm any associations involved, he is understood to not be interested in merging with large industry bodies like the Financial Planning Association and the Investment and Financial Services Association.
