AFA conference puts focus on peer-to-peer learning
The theme of this year’s Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) national conference is “connecting knowledge with performance”.
GM Member Services and Campus Nick Hakes says the conference will help advisers enhance their expertise and network with fellow professionals.
“Advisers keep attending the conference because it is the best place for combining big-picture thinking about industry expectations, disruption and change with peer-to-peer collaboration,” he said. “Everyone’s business is different, so taking learning from multiple people doing great things is one of the best ways advisers can improve their value to clients.”
Mr Hakes says the conference program will focus on professional best practice, blending exceptional technical content with practical application.
“Expert technical knowledge and skills are important, but what is also crucial is how it is built into client communication, business practices and engagement with the broader community.
“Both the plenary and focus sessions engage practitioners by taking business success stories and connecting them with opportunities for the financial advice market, and also comparing them to success stories within other industries.”
The conference program will be released late next month. Early bird registration is open now until August 7.
The event is at the Cairns Convention Centre from October 25-27. Click here for more information or to register.
