Former foreign minister Julie Bishop and Thailand cave rescuer Richard Harris will headline the Association of Financial Advisers’ annual conference in August.

Opening speaker Ms Bishop was foreign minister for almost five years, after four years as shadow minister for foreign affairs and trade.

Dr Harris, a joint Australian of the Year, will discuss the power of collaboration to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. He was an integral part of the mission last year to rescue a Thai youth soccer team from a flooded cave.
