The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) has named five finalists for its Rising Star of the Year Award, with Victorians dominating for the second year in a row.

The prize recognises new advisers who give quality holistic advice, demonstrate a commitment to education and make a valuable contribution to the industry and community.

The finalists are Angus Gallagher from Knightcorp Life Insurance & Wealth Management (WA), Cameron Forbes from Forbes Financial Planning (Victoria), Matt Hale from Financial Design for Life (Victoria), Meike Suggars from Suggars & Associates (Victoria) and Scott Mitton from RI Advice (Victoria).

“The commitment and capability of this year’s finalists demonstrate that the future of the profession is in good hands,” AFA CEO Richard Klipin said.

The winner will be announced at the AFA national conference on October 28.
