Advisers reach for the tablets
Touch-screen devices such as tablets are increasingly prevalent in financial advice businesses, according to new research from Investment Trends.
About 37% of advisers use tablets for business purposes, while 41% would like to, a study by the research house shows.
Tablet take-up is highest among advisers aged 40-54, with 39% using them.
“Advisers are going mobile, with nearly eight in 10 seeing a role for tablets within their business,” Investment Trends Head of Research Recep Peker said.
“They see the value of tablet devices as making new business processes more efficient and enabling ongoing client engagement.”
Mr Peker says Investment Trends’ consumer research shows clients have positive experiences when advisers use tablets.
“Consequently, advisers will be relying on technology providers more than ever for mobile, optimised solutions,” Mr Peker said.
Investment Trends surveyed 892 financial advisers in April and May.
