Advisers can’t get enough of Macquarie Life

Macquarie Life has come up trumps in the latest Beaton Benchmarks Life Insurance Intermediaries Study, which measures advisers’ satisfaction with insurer performance.

“From an adviser perspective, Macquarie leads the field,” Beaton Senior Account director John Morrow told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

The telephone survey of nearly 1000 advisers gave Macquarie Life a satisfaction rating of 82%, compared to the industry average of 77%.

It is the fifth consecutive year Macquarie Life has been awarded five-star status for overall satisfaction.

Its high satisfaction rating relates to its product quality, business development manager (BDM) support, “being easy to deal with” and its underwriting support.

Mr Morrow says BDM and underwriting support are often identified by advisers as critical services, but are also areas where insurers can improve, along with technology such as quotation software.

Head of Macquarie Life Justin Delaney says the results set a high benchmark for the year.

“For us, the value of the Beaton study is not only about receiving recognition from the industry, but the adviser insights which it provides,” he said.

“Receiving feedback through this channel helps us to identify what areas we to need to focus on during the year ahead to continue to meet advisers’ evolving needs.”
