Adviser awards open for entries

Nominations are open for the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) adviser of the year and practice of the year awards.

Now in its 14th year, the adviser award recognises an individual who excels in the delivery of life-changing financial advice.

The practice award is for a business that demonstrates advice excellence and top practice management.

AFA CEO Brad Fox says the awards reflect professional advisers’ enthusiasm to assume leadership roles while the industry undergoes considerable change.

“The AFA is seeing advisers and practices reinventing themselves as they recognise the trends affecting the political, legislative, economic, societal and technological paradigms,” he said. “Both awards apply the most rigorous judging process, so we can identify absolute industry best practice.”

Advisers and practices can nominate themselves or be put forward by an industry participant.

Nominations close on July 22, with the winners announced at the AFA National Adviser Conference in Canberra on October 7.
