Advice educator to chair Mentor’s academic board

Mentor Education has appointed David Lamond as Chairman of its new 10-person academic board.

He is currently Adjunct Professor of Human Resource Management and International Business at Victoria University in Melbourne.

Dr Lamond was the first chairman of the Financial Planning Education Council until 2013 and has served as a member of the Global Education Working Group of the International Financial Planning Standards Board.

Mentor Education MD Mark Sinclair says the appointment comes as the training organisation has recorded 40% growth in student numbers and revenue during the past two financial years.

“Dr Lamond’s breadth of experience as an educationalist, as well as his demonstrated leadership on financial planning education standards, brings us a strong set of pertinent skills,” Dr Sinclair said.
